A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled “Public health code,” by amending sections 17033 and 17533 (MCL 333.17033 and 333.17533), as amended by 1994 PA 234.
House Bill No. 4790 amends Michigan's Public Health Code to require medical boards to approve and promote continuing education courses on women's midlife health, including menopause management, as part of physicians' license renewal requirements. House Bill No. 4791 requires the Michigan Department of Health to create and promote a menopause awareness education program in collaboration with relevant medical boards and women's health organizations.
