House Bill No. 4777 removes 'gender identity or expression' as a protected category from Michigan’s Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act, thereby eliminating explicit anti-discrimination protections for transgender and gender non-conforming individuals in employment, housing, education, and public accommodations.
