A bill to amend 1979 PA 152, entitled “State license fee act,” by amending sections 9 and 25 (MCL 338.2209 and 338.2225), section 9 as amended by 1988 PA 461 and section 25 as amended by 2023 PA 131.
House Bill 4692 creates a new licensing process and regulatory standards for secondary school facilities teaching cosmetology, requiring departmental oversight and compliance and House Bill 4693 revises and increases licensing and examination fees for cosmetology professionals and establishments, allows for annual fee adjustments based on state employee wage increases.
