Create state African-American and Native American history study committee

To create a state commission on the inclusion of African-American and Native American history in K-12 instruction, which would be comprised of individuals from the University of Michigan, Michigan State and Wayne State University, plus specified state and school officials. The bill would require that starting in the 2024-25 school year, all public school instruction would have to be aligned with the curriculum this committee prescribes.
