2022 House Bill 6294

Add conditions to 5G wireless infrastructure “colocation”

Introduced in the House

June 30, 2022

Introduced by Rep. Jeff Yaroch (R-33)

To add a condition to a requirement that local government must allow “5G” small cell wireless phone and internet systems to “co-locate” small wireless internet transmitters on power line poles and other existing infrastructure. The bill would require a wireless provider to provide proof that collocation is impossible but for installation of new utility pole or new wireless support structure.
