2022 House Bill 5901

Require unspecified “examinations” of state business subsidies

Introduced in the House

March 15, 2022

Introduced by Rep. Pat Outman (R-70)

To require the state Auditor General to conduct “audits and examinations” of state “economic development” programs that hand out taxpayer dollars to select developers and business owners. The bill does not define any standards for these “examinations”; presumably the columns and authorized spending amounts are already checked to confirm the sums are correct.
