2021 Senate Bill 748

Authorize more ‘weatherization’ spending

Introduced in the Senate

Nov. 30, 2021

Introduced by Sen. Rosemary Bayer (D-12)

To authorize state spending on grants to pay companies to provide “weatherization,” “efficient fuel-switching” and other home modifications for household where an individual age 65 or older resides or ones with income less than 250% of the federal poverty rate. The bill would prescribe requirements for companies granted contracts to do the work (among them being judged to have an acceptable “sustainability" record), which encompasses a very broad range of home improvements and upgrades.
