Introduced in the House

Oct. 21, 2021

Introduced by Rep. Jim Ellison (D-26)

To require the owner of a home or rooms rented out as a short-term Airbnb type rental to file a certificate with the state that has their name and address and the address of the short-term rental, and certify the owner has $1 million or more in liability insurance on the unit. The bill would also require short term rental properties to have a carbon monoxide detector, smoke detector and fire extinguisher.
