Expand paid leave mandate and employer sanctions

To revise provisions of an “initiated-and-amended” state law that mandated employers grant a specified amount of annual leave to employees for illness and other purposes. The bill would increase some benefits, impose additional compliance provisions on employers, and require that to demonstrate compliance with the law employers would have to retain keep relevant records for three years, or else be presumed to have violated the law if there are any complaints.
