Introduced in the Senate

July 23, 2020

Introduced by Sen. Sean McCann (D-20)

To revise details of reports schools are required to submit to the state on attendance, expulsions, suspensions, truancy, etc. The bill would also expand the criteria for what is considered an “excused absence;” require accommodations for illiterate or non-English speaking parents required to send a note explaining an absence; redefine “chronically absent,” “disciplinary absence” and more.
