2020 House Bill 6492

Temporarily waive certain health care provider liability

Introduced in the House

Dec. 2, 2020

Introduced by Rep. Graham Filler (R-93)

To establish that a health care facility or responder that provides services in support of the state's COVID epidemic responses is not liable or subject to prosecution for injuries or including deaths sustained by reason of those services, except for cases of gross negligence. This would be in addition to any other legal immunity provided by law, but the proposed provision would expire 120 days after it becomes law.
