Juvenile justice “raise the age” reform

To raise from age 17 to 18 the minimum age at which offenders are eligible for criminal defendant “youthful trainee status,” which provides a mechanism for not including the offense on a youth’s permanent record. This is part of a broader "raise the age" juvenile justice reform effort.
