2019 Senate Bill 575

Authorize additional spending in FY 2019-20 state budget

Introduced in the Senate

Oct. 10, 2019

Introduced by Sen. Wayne Schmidt (R-37)

To appropriate $7 million for supplemental state school aid payments to rural school districts. This money was in the 2019-20 fiscal year budget approved by the legislature in late September of 2019, but was removed by one of 147 line-item vetoes executed by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, which struck $947 million from proposed spending.
