2019 House Bill 5104

Impose more water safety mandates on facilities

Introduced in the House

Oct. 15, 2019

Introduced by Rep. Sheldon Neeley (D-34)

To require schools to develop a “drinking water safety plan” that meets detailed standards the bill would specify including filters and testing requirements, and have at least one “filtered bottle-filling station” for every 100 occupants. The bill would also authorize state grants for all this but does not specify where the money would come from.
