Appropriations: Governor’s executive budget recommendation

The education portion of the executive budget recommendation proposed by Gov. Rick Snyder for the Fiscal Year that begins Oct. 1, 2018. This proposes that state government spend a combined $16.698 billion on K-12 public schools, community colleges and state universities. Public schools would get $14.635 billion, community colleges $405 million, and state universities $1.658 billion.
