To revise the procedures prescribed for auto insurers to notify the Secretary of State that a vehicle’s owner does have a mandated no-fault insurance policy, contingent on Senate Bill 819 becoming law. SB 819 would establish a system for verifying the insurance status of vehicles in something closer to an ongoing “real time” basis.
