2018 House Bill 6227

Allow marijuana convictions to be set aside if legalization approved

Introduced in the House

June 12, 2018

Introduced by Rep. Sheldon Neeley (D-34)

To permit an individual to get marijuana-related convictions “set aside” (or expunged) from their record, but only if the marijuana legalization initiative on the Nov. 2018 state ballot is approved. The bill appears to include trafficking offenses in addition to possession. (Specifically, it covers any convictions under sections 333.7401 to 333.7461 of the Public Health Code).
