2018 House Bill 6219

Ban sharing “enhancement millage” with charter schools

Introduced in the House

June 12, 2018

Introduced by Rep. Kristy Pagan (D-21)

To prohibit sharing with public charter schools any revenue that comes from a regional property tax “enhancement millage” imposed by an intermediate school district. This would essentially repeal a recently enacted law requiring charters to get a share of new enhancement millages (Senate Bill 574, now Public Act 23 of 2018).
