Introduced in the House

June 12, 2018

Introduced by Rep. Thomas Albert (R-86)

To impose licensure on individuals who may seek to earn a living in the occupation of “music therapy,” including regulations, a 1,200 hours apprenticeship requirement, examinations, college degree prerequisites, $148 annual license fees, certification from an entity in the business of providing certifications and more. The bill would create a Michigan Music Therapy Board comprised of incumbent providers, who would be empowered to impose additional requirements that new entrants must meet, or waive requirements for certain individuals.
