2018 House Bill 6090 / Public Act 569

Revise county tax board of review timing

Introduced in the House

May 30, 2018

Introduced by Rep. Joseph Bellino (R-17)

To revise the timing of hearings of a county board of review tasked with reviewing rates, charges, or assessments. Under current law these bodies meet twice a year at times prescribed in state statute. The bill would change this to only meeting “within 60 days of a written request to review rates, charges, or assessments.” Reportedly only six counties have a board of review.
