2013 Senate Joint Resolution E

Establish part time legislature

Introduced in the Senate

Jan. 16, 2013

Introduced by Sen. John Proos (R-21)

To place before voters in the next general election a constitutional amendment that would limit annual legislative sessions to 90 days. This appears to be the 20th part-time legislature proposal introduced since 2001 (when MichiganVotes began tracking legislation). None has ever been brought to a vote in either the House or Senate, where a two-thirds vote would be required.
