To place before voters in the next general election a constitutional amendment that would limit annual legislative sessions to 72 days, with some exceptions. This appears to be the 22nd part-time legislature proposal introduced since 2001 (when MichiganVotes began tracking legislation); none has ever been brought to a vote in either the House or Senate, where a two-thirds vote would be required. The measure would also set legislators' base salaries at $52,000 per year.
