To place before voters in the next general election a constitutional amendment that would limit annual legislative sessions to 72 days, with some exceptions. This appears to be the <a href="http://www.michiganvotes.org/SearchLegislation.aspx?Results=50&StartDate=1%2F1%2F2001&EndDate=12%2F31%2F2013&Keywords=part+time+legislature&op=Search">22nd part-time legislature proposal</a> introduced since 2001 (when MichiganVotes began tracking legislation); none has ever been brought to a vote in either the House or Senate, where a two-thirds vote would be required. The measure would also set legislators' base salaries at $52,000 per year.
