To prohibit local governments from providing an inducement to issue tickets to parking enforcement “volunteers” authorized under a 2008 law, including giving them a share of the ticket revenue. Under the bill parking ticket revenue could only be used to benefit the jurisdiction or relevant law enforcement agency. Also, to dismiss a parking ticket issued by these “volunteers” if a driver challenges it and the issuer does not show up in court.
