2010 Senate Bill 1554

Revise certain criminal arrest record exemptions

Introduced in the Senate

Nov. 3, 2010

Introduced by Sen. Alan L. Cropsey (R-33)

To revise a law that allows the arrest record of first-time arrest on a domestic violence charge to be kept maintained a “non-public” record in some circumstances. The bill would require the “diversion” to a probation program to be noted on this record, not just the arrest and subsequent dismissal of the charge following probation.
