Ban convicted of corruption public officials from seeking office

To prohibit a person from running for office who in the preceding 20 years was convicted of a felony involving dishonesty, deceit, fraud, or a breach of the public trust related to the person's official capacity while holding an elected or appointed local, state, or federal office. See also Senate Joint Resolution V, now 2010 Initiative 2, which places the same prohibition in the state constitution if a majority of voters approve.
