2009 Senate Bill 932

Impose new regulations on mortgage lenders

Introduced in the Senate

Oct. 21, 2009

Introduced by Sen. Glenn Anderson (D-6)

To require mortgage lenders to disclose to borrowers at the time of a loan that their mortgage may be sold or assigned to another company, and if it is sold or assigned, to require the lender to notify the borrower of details related to the loan and transfer. Among other things the bill would require the person who acquires a mortgage to have a toll-free number the borrower could call.
