The executive recommendation for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2009-2010 Department of Labor and Economic Growth. This would appropriate $1.442 billion in gross spending, compared to $1.387 billion, which was the FY 2008-2009 amount enrolled in 2008. Of this, $74.1 million will come from the general fund (funded by actual state tax revenues), compared to the FY 2008-2009 amount of $73.5 million. Another $399.9 million is from state “restricted funds,” or earmarked tax and fee revenue, compared to $386.9 million the previous year, and $918.2 million is from federal funds.
