To increase the amount of sales tax revenue that goes to local governments, and earmark 10 percent of this to road construction and maintenance. The resolution would increase the local government earmark from 15 percent to 17 percent of sales tax levied at the 4 percent rate. See also House Joint Resolution NNN and House Bill 6521.
