To revise the state adoption code to establish that the child custody act provisions on awarding grandparenting time are controlling, rather than provisions of the adoption code See <a href="http://www.michiganvotes.org/2003-SB-727">Public Act 542 of 2004</a>, which defined the right of grandparent visitation in child custody cases. See also <a href="http://www.michiganvotes.org/2005-SB-420">Senate Bill 420</a>.
