To add sexual orientation and gender identity or expression to the protected classes covered under the Michigan felonious intimidation law, which makes it a crime to maliciously and with specific intent intimidate or harass another person because of that person's race, color, religion, gender, or national origin. The bill also authorizes consecutive sentences for felonious intimidation convictions in addition to sentences for any other felony conviction that arises out of the same incident.
