To establish an aquatic nuisance rapid response team comprised of the directors (or their designees) of the Departments of Environmental Quality, Agriculture, and Natural Resources. The team would be required upon receipt of substantiated information of an aquatic nuisance threat to prepare a written report on the environmental and economic ramifications of the threat with legislative or other recommendations, and submit it to the Natural Resources Commission the Agriculture Commission, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Interior Department’s Fish and Wildlife Service, the governor of each state and the premiere of each Canadian province with territory in the Great Lakes basin, and each Indian tribe in the Great Lakes basin.
