To exempt law enforcement personnel from concealed carry of weapons license (CCW) application fees and fingerprint requirements, and require expedited processing of an application from law enforcement personnel. “Law enforcement personnel” is defined as a retired or active parole officer; a corrections officer; a conservation officer; an auxiliary, reserve, or volunteer police officer, whether paid or not; a part-time police officer; a sheriff, other than a deputy sheriff; an investigator for this state or a political subdivision of this state who is authorized to carry a firearm in the course of his or her duties; or a court officer.
