2021 Senate Bill 184

Impose more water safety mandates on child care facilities

Introduced in the Senate

Feb. 25, 2021

Introduced by Sen. Curtis VanderWall (R-35)

To require schools and child care facilities to develop a “drinking water safety plan” that meets detailed standards and reporting requirements the bill would specify, including filter and testing requirements, and have at least one “filtered bottle-filling station” for every 100 occupants. The bill would also authorize state grants for all this but does not specify where the money would come from.
