Add appeals and more reporting requirements to school expulsion policies

To add extensive appeal provisions and additional reporting requirements related to the race, class, gender or other specified characteristics of a public school student subject to suspension or expulsion for committing an assault against staff or another student. Expulsion reports would have to be filed with the state giving details of the race, ethnicity, gender and other characteristic of students subject to expulsion including whether a student is “economically disadvantaged,” has been in foster care or has disabilities, special education status, non-native English speaker, “migrant,” and more.
