To require the Secretary of State to promulgate rules regarding an objective signature verification process for checking voter identity where applicable. The bill would require signature verification training for clerks and election inspectors. This could not include a presumption regarding the validity of any signature that was to be verified; or include instructions or guidance to consider hypothetical or circumstantial factors that could affect a signature without supporting evidence.
