To revise many details of the estates and protected individuals code, among other things making inflation updates and other changes to various specific dollar amounts it prescribes for different purposes related to distributions from and claims against an estate. The bill would also authorize the designation of "standby guardians," add "patient advocate" provisions, and regulate trusts established for the care of animals and other specified purposes.
