2021 House Bill 4526: Allocate state university spending by institution's enrollment
Introduced by Rep. Ryan Berman (R) on March 16, 2021
Allocate state university spending on basis of enrollment to allocate annual state appropriations to Michigan universities on the basis of how many full-time, resident, undergraduate students are enrolled each year. Under current law, the allocations are done annually on an ad hoc basis, with amounts determined by past allocations, the effectiveness of an institution’s lobbyists and legislative connections, and other factors unrelated to enrollment or other objective criteria.   Official Text and Analysis.
Referred to the House Appropriations Committee on March 16, 2021
