2017 House Bill 4595

Require more disclosures from government employee unions

Introduced in the House

May 11, 2017

Introduced by Rep. Pamela Hornberger (R-32)

To require government employee labor unions to file annual reports with the state on their finances and spending, comparable to disclosures required by federal labor law. This would include information on dues collection procedures and amounts, officer salaries, loans and other business relationships involving union officials and more. However, state officials would retain significant discretion in determining how comprehensive the disclosures would be.
