To require the Department of Treasury to disclose the details annual tax break and subsidy deal payouts granted to particular businesses and developers under a Michigan Economic Growth Authority law repealed in 2011. The bill was introduced after it was revealed that these deals have generated a unfunded liability of nearly $10 billion. Under current law, information on which companies were granted these special deals and the terms of their agreements are kept secret. Official Text and Analysis.
