2012 Senate Bill 928: Increase school official non-feasance penalties
Introduced by Sen. John Proos R-St. Joseph on February 7, 2012
To increase the penalties for school board members and officials who neglect or refuse to perform a duty required under the state school code, or who willingly and knowingly permit a violation. The maximum penalty would increase from 90 days and a $1,500 fine to one year in prison and a $15,000 fine.   Official Text and Analysis.
