2012 House Bill 5346: Restrict government PSA “stars” running for office
Introduced by Rep. Tom McMillin R-Rochester Hills on February 2, 2012
To prohibit a person from running for office who has appeared during the previous six months in a state or local government-funded commercial, including a public service announcement, unless the individual reimburses the government unit for all the costs incurred producing and dissemination of the ad.   Official Text and Analysis.
