Introduced by Sen. Bruce Caswell R-Hillsdale on September 7, 2011
To extend until 2017 a freeze on “maintenance of effort” rates for long-term care services provided by county medical care facilities. Counties providing Medicaid nursing home services in county-owned facilities must reimburse the state according to a county "maintenance of effort" rate determined on an annual basis for each patient day. Ending the freeze would result in higher payments to the state for Medicaid by some counties. Official Text and Analysis.
