2011 Senate Bill 203: Revise legislator pension detail
Introduced by Sen. Bruce Caswell R-Hillsdale on February 24, 2011
To establish that future legislators would be eligible for retirement health coverage beginning at age 62 if they spend 14 years in the Legislature; participants would be responsible for 42 percent of the premium payments. Under current law, after they leave office legislators who have served six years get full health coverage beginning at age 55.   Official Text and Analysis.
