Reported in the House on March 10, 2010
Substitute offered in the House on May 20, 2010
To replace the previous version of the bill with one that revises various details, but does not change its substance. This version was subsequently superseded by another substitute with more changes.
The substitute passed by voice vote in the House on May 20, 2010
Amendment offered by Rep. David Agema R- on May 20, 2010
To tie-bar the bill to Senate Bills 1173 and 1179, meaning this bill cannot become law unless those ones do also. Those bills would prohibit government entities from deeming a person whose private employment compensation comes from a direct or indirect government subsidy to be a "government employee" who can be enrolled in a public employee union. This is the subject of a "stealth unionization" lawsuit filed by the Mackinac Center on behalf of home child care providers.
