Require legislators provide expense account receipts

To only allow legislators to collect reimbursement for documented travel and lodging expenses related to attending sessions in Lansing, and require the receipts for those expenses to be posted online. Note: Although it is not mandated by statute, the legislature currently gives members a $12,000 annual expense allowance, in addition to their $79,650 salary, health insurance and post-retirement health care benefits. No documentation is required to collect the $12,000 in $1,000 per month installments.
