To charge companies with contracts to extract oil or gas from state owned lands rent on the land at prices ranging from $2 to $30 per acre per year. The Department of Natural Resources could agree to reduce the rent at its option under a “unitization” agreement. See also Senate Bills 1520 and 1521.
