2007 Senate Bill 9: Ban life without parole sentence for juveniles

To prohibit sentencing an individual convicted as a juvenile to imprisonment for life without the possibility of parole. This is the maximum penalty in Michigan law and is only imposed for the most serious crimes of violence.   Official Text and Analysis.
