House Bill 4286, Make good on wrongful imprisonment compensation promise: Passed 110 to 0 in the House
To appropriate $10 million to make good on the promise made by a 2016 law that authorized payment of $50,000 for each year of wrongful imprisonment served by a person who did not commit the crime. The bill would require the Attorney General to file reports with the legislature on the status of claims, settlements and awards under this law. Reportedly the fund created to provide this compensation currently has just $1.1 million, and the estimated amount of claims is $22 million.

House Bill 4112, Mandate liquor stores post pregnancy warnings: Passed 100 to 10 in the House
To mandate that liquor stores, bars and restaurants with a liquor license must post signs warning about drinking alcohol during pregnancy.

House Bill 4129, Authorize release for medically frail prisoner: Passed 104 to 6 in the House
To let prison officials ask the court that sentenced a prisoner to transfer the prisoner to a facility that can provide acute long term medical or mental health treatment or services, if the prisoner's physical or mental health makes the individual a minimal threat to society. This would not apply to prisoners sentenced to life without parole or first degree murder. The medical facility or nursing home would not be responsible for enforcing a prisoner's parole conditions or reporting violations of them.
