To repeal provisions in the state sentencing guideline law to accommodate the proposal in House Bill 5312 to eliminate various requirements and restrictions on acquiring and possessing a pistol, so as to reflect the <a href="https://www.michiganvotes.org/2011-HB-5225">2012 repeal</a> of a law that required individuals to get a permit from local police before buying a pistol.
