Coronavirus epidemic response bills – day care for essential workers

To require schools to identify employees who are willing to work staffing a “disaster relief child care center” proposed by Senate Bill 885, prescribe restrictions on who may do so based on health status, and prohibit requiring a school employee to do so. Also, to insert into the state school code “by reference” the provisions of coronavirus epidemic <a href=" https://www.michigan.gov/whitmer/0,9309,7-387-90499_90705-526011--,00.html">Executive Order No. 2020-51</a> that authorizes these centers, which are essentially day care for the children of parents deemed “essential workforce”.
